Understanding Case Types
+
Closed or Disposed Criminal or Violation Citation Cases
- Already resolved by the court.
- You can pay the remaining balance on a violation citation without entering a plea.
Open Violation Cases (e.g., Central Violations Bureau)
- Requires a
plea of
No Contest to pay online.
- This means:
- You waive your right to a trial.
- You must pay the fine.
- You may be eligible for a
fine reduction based on the offenses in your case and your driving history. If so, it will be applied before payment.
How to Search for Your Case

For Portland parking citations, include any letters (like “HA”, “U”, or “N”) with the numbers.
